Rohit Shetty’s action comedy film Chennai Express has set record at the International market as well. This Shah Rukh Khan & Deepika Padukone starrrer made whooping 72 crores at the Overseas Box Office in it’s 1st week. Chennai Express now clamps the record of Maximum Week 1 Grosser at the Foreign Box Office.
Including 2nd Friday collections, It proved a big hit in Pakistan as the film collected Rs. 1.84 crores in its opening weekend. The movie made a business of about 94.69 lacs in New Zealand, 3.25 cr in Australia, 14 crs in UK. Rest of the gatherings from the separate nations is still being amassed.
The film released in 700 screens internationally (including 195 screens in the United States, 175 in the United Kingdom, 55 in the Middle East and 30 in Australia), making it the widest Bollywood release of all time.
Chennai Express became the wildest movie to enter the coveted Bollywood 100 Crore Club in India. The flick also went on to make a new record for the maximum first week collection in India, whipping Ek Tha Tiger.
